EverQuest II - /pizza

It has BEGUN!

Virtual worlds starting to franchise with the real world in bizarre ways.

"While playing EverQuest II just type /pizza and a web browser will launch the online ordering section of pizzahut.com."

You MUST click on this link. There's seriously a picture of a dark elf wearing armor, holding a pepperoni pizza.

bad interviewing

I was listening to the radio today, and they had on some religious theorist who spoke in pompous, condescending ways about science and evolution. One part that blew my mind was when he said this:

"The biggest flaw in the theory of the big bang and evolution is, 'What created the big bang? Ask a scientist this simple question, and you've got them stumped.'"

I can't believe the interviewer just let this slide. The question can just as easily be turned around, if any religious fanatic is arguing with you, by asking "What created God?". Both religion and science have the same unanswerable problem of creation.

Saying that God has always existed is obviously a cop-out, because a God magically popping into existence and beginning to create things is just as absurd as a universe being created out of a single point of infinite density. No matter how you come at it, you get back to "Why is this all here?", and your head starts to hurt. It's obvious that an omnipotent God could create everything we see, that's the easy part. The hard part is, why is there a God in the first place? That's just as unanswerable. And anyone that idiot has "stumped" with his little question really needs to learn how to argue.

we are zogg

I found this site where a guy took a Little Golden Book about God, written for children, and changed all the captions to an induction manual for parasitic aliens. It's brilliant. I really would like to blow up a few of these pages and make posters.

For example:
